The Chancellor

HIS ROYAL MAJESTY (HRM) OBA (BARR) ISMAIL BOLAJI YAHAYA MUHAMMED ATOLOYE ALEBIOSU was born in Lagos though a native of Ajase-Ipo in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. He attended Ansar-Ud-Deen Primary School, Alakoro, Lagos for his primary education (1987-1992). Government High School, Ilorin for his secondary education (1992-1998), where he graduated with distinctions and as the Head Prefect of the school. He attended Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin to study Common and Islamic Law (1999-2003). He was the overall best graduating student of his Department with several academic prizes to his credit. HRM had his Masters of Law from the Premier University of Ibadan with Ph.d grade (2007-2008). He had several prizes and awards to his credit particularly academic and humanitarian.

HRM was involved in active Law practice until his ascension to the throne. He handled several prominent election petitions, many high profile corruption related cases, human right cases, chieftaincy cases, land cases etc. He had worked with the law firms of EKO – AKETE CHAMBERS (2005 – 2007); ADEBOLA, ONIBALUSI & CO. (2007 – 2009); CLARKE, PAIKO & CO. (2009 – 2017) which metamorphose into CLARKE (SAN) & MUHAMMED (2018 – 2021). He rose through the cadre as Counsel, Associate Counsel II, Associate Counsel I, Senior Associate Counsel, Partner / Deputy Head of Chambers, Managing Partner / Head of Chambers at CLARKE (SAN) & MUHAMMED.

HRM was called to the bar as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria (2005). He was sworn in as a Notary Public for Nigeria (2012) by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, MAHMUD MOHAMMED, GCON, CJN (as he then was). He is a member of several Professional bodies and Associations viz: Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Lagos; Chartered Institute of Arbitrators {MCIArb. (UK)}; Fellow of the Home of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (The Confederacy of Chartered Certified Entrepreneurs) etc.

HRM was appointed the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo on Monday 21st June, 2021 and handed a First Class Staff of Office on Thursday 24^th June, 2021 by His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, CON the Executive Governor of Kwara State and Chairman, Nigeria Governors Forum. He is therefore the Chairman, Igbomina / Ekiti Traditional Rulers Forum; the Chairman, Irepodun Local Government Traditional Council and Member, Kwara State Traditional Council of Emirs and Obas. HRM is a serial entrepreneur with several business interests. He is also a capacity builder with a mindset to help others think outside the box. He has willingness to take on risks and easily steps into a leadership role.

On Saturday 9^th November, 2024 he was named the Chancellor, Kwara State University of Education (KWASUED), Ilorin by His Exellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, CON the Executive Governor of Kwara State and Chairman, Nigeria Governors Forum.

HRM is happily married to OLORI ALHAJA RUKAYAT ADEOLA MUHAMMED and the union is blessed with children.
