Prof. Salman Medinat Folorunso

Professor Medinat Folorunso Salman is a distinguished academic with a rich educational background and extensive professional experience in Mathematics Education. She began her journey at St. Clare’s Anglican Girls Grammar School in Offa, completing her secondary education in 1976. Following her passion for teaching, she attended Ilorin Teachers’ College, obtaining her Teachers’ Grade II certificate in 1977. She furthered her education at the Federal College of Education in Pankshin, earning a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Mathematics and Chemistry in 1981. Afterward, she pursued a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Mathematics at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, graduating in 1985 with Second Class Upper Division. Professor Salman continued her academic pursuits at the University of Ilorin, where she earned her Master’s degree in Mathematics Education in 1990 and subsequently her Ph.D. in the same field in 1998.Throughout her career, Professor Salman has held numerous significant positions. Currently, she is the Vice Chancellor of the newly established Kwara State University of Education (KWSUED). Previously, she was the Head of the Department of Science Education and the Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Ilorin.
